IVAM

The Institut Valencià d'Art Modern opened in 1989 under the regional government with a research remit, publishing and collecting as well as exhibiting. The core is Julio González's sculpture and drawings plus Ignacio Pinazo's painting, and it widens into twentieth-century Spanish avant-garde, abstraction and political poster work, with a photography department running from documentary to conceptual. Two buildings carry it: the main hall on Guillem de Castro street and a second space for experimental projects. The online collection searches by artist and medium, and the exhibition archive runs back to opening year. ⭐ Notable: Julio González bequest, Ignacio Pinazo collection, photography department 🔗 Collection: https://ivam.es/en/collection/
