The Pinault Collection opened in Paris in May 2021 by turning the eighteenth-century circular corn exchange into a museum: Tadao Ando inserted a concrete cylinder and a ring of galleries inside, with the original dome fresco left overhead. Works come from François Pinault's contemporary collection and rotate by theme rather than chronology, often placing large installations in the rotunda against the old stone and painting.
