UCCA Center for Contemporary Art

UCCA opened in Beijing's 798 Art District in 2007 and was among the first institutions in China to run on an international museum model, in a Bauhaus-influenced factory hall built for a wireless electronics plant. Six or seven shows a year alternate key cases from Chinese contemporary art history with international surveys, alongside UCCA Lab cross-disciplinary projects and public education. Beyond Beijing there are UCCA Edge in Shanghai and UCCA Dune at Aranya.
