Kiasma is the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Finnish National Gallery, in a Steven Holl building opened in 1998 in central Helsinki, where white volumes and a curved light gallery pull daylight into the halls. The collection centres on Finnish art from the 1960s onward and takes in Nordic and international contemporary work, with film and installation as a large share; Kiasma Online Art presents part of the holdings as browsable online pieces. The building also holds a stage for theatre and performance, programmed heavily through the year.
