Pirelli HangarBicocca sits on Milan's northern edge in early twentieth-century locomotive sheds; several connected spans total 15,000 square metres, tall enough for installations on an architectural scale. Admission is free with a timed online booking. Anselm Kiefer's The Seven Heavenly Palaces (2004-2015) and Luciano Fabro's Abitare lo spazio stay on permanent view, the former a cluster of concrete towers over twenty metres high. Temporary shows run two or three a year, usually a mid-career survey of one artist, with Aki Sasamoto in autumn 2026.
