Museion

Museion is the museum of modern and contemporary art in Bolzano, and the bilingual South Tyrol setting shapes how it edits: German and Italian run side by side and exhibition texts come complete in both. The building is two glass volumes by the Talvera river, light by day and glowing at night, with shows largely read in daylight. Beyond the galleries, two standing strands matter: Museion Academy handles research and teaching, Museion Art Club runs public programmes for the local community, and the FOAM project debates what an art museum should become. The collection starts from regional and Italian contemporary work and extends through international loans. The site runs German, Italian and English. ⭐ Notable: Museion Academy, Art Club, FOAM project\n🔗 Exhibitions: https://www.museion.it/en/exhibitions
