Monokrom is a small independent foundry in Oslo that releases slowly, with a family often taking years from sketch to shelf. The direction leans on Nordic printing tradition: proportions sit closer to mid-twentieth-century book setting than to trends, and there are more wide cuts and small-caps families than most peers carry. Around twenty retail families exist alongside custom work for newspapers and institutions.
